Reminder

Please would all chartered members send their completed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) forms to D-J Gent by the 30th September 2006. You need to start your CPD forms from the date that you received your chartered status (written on your SocEnv certificate).

Part of being a Chartered Environmentalist means you are required to keep a record of activities to maintain your Chartered status (CPD). All the information is on the IFM website. The forms are all available to download as an MS word document to make it easier for you. CPD should not be an onerous process. It is designed simply to record your professional training and development in fisheries management and sustainability along with personal skills development (such as IT, management etc). However, it is essential that you complete a certain number activities to maintain your professional status. All the information is on the website or or contact me via email at cpd@ifm.org.uk

Your CPD records will be checked to see that the requirements are understood by the membership and that the new process is working and improvements can be made if needed. You have nothing to fear! Everyone will be required to submit their CPD records by September 30th 2006 deadline.
