2011 Events

London and South East Branch - 2nd February 2011 - 7.30 pm. King's College London, Strand Campus. The Chagos Archipelago: Introducing the world’s biggest Marine Protected Area. Rachel Jones, Zoological Society of London. More details here.

South West Branch - North Devon Fisheries Extravaganza. 27th March 2011  Visit fish passes and fisheries as part of this full day event. Starting at 10:15am in South Molton. More details here

London and South East Branch - 11th May 2011 Wednesday at 6am. Billingsgate Market. Annual guided tour of this wonderful market. More details here.

 

Southern Branch - 6th June 2011 Inshore fisheries and conservation management and the marine conservation zone planning process by Rob Clark, Deputy Chief Fisheries and Conservation Officer. Dell Quay Education Centre - Chichester.

2010 Events

London and South East Branch - Presentation Evening event - 4th March 2010 - Achieving a sustainable outcome for the eel. Kings College Strand Campus. Details here.

London and South East Branch - IFM & APEM Fish Passage Conference - 25th March 2010 - Begbrook Science Park, Oxford. This one day conference aims to improve and discuss current knowledge of the increasing demands on fish passage issues in the UK, with special reference to lowland all fish species passage. Welsh Branch Event - River Barriers to Fish Movement -Assessing the impact of individual barriers on the free passage of fish. 7th September 2010, Wales Millennium Centre Click on the following to download presentations from the recent workshop. Midlands Branch Event - Midlands Branch Hydropower event 15th May 2010. A Hydropower workshop at New Mills on River Goyt. The day started with a guided visit to the hydropower scheme which is run as a community venture. This was followed by a series of presentations on different issues around hydropower and a discussion session.

Midlands Branch Event - AGM. 1st February 2010 (4-6pm) AGM and discussion on the Fisheries Registration Scheme (7-9pm) at the Wayfarer Inn, Stone, Staffs.
