David Bunt appointed the first Chief Executive of the IFM

David Bunt – CEO

Following the restructuring of our governance in preparation to become a charity, I am delighted to announce that David Bunt, currently Chair of the IFM, has been recruited as the IFM’s first paid Chief Executive. David graduated in 1985 from Chelsea College, University of London in with a BSc. in Environmental Biology and in 1986 gained an MSc. in Aquatic Resource Management at Kings College London. He spent the next 30 years with the National Rivers Authority and Environment Agency in various roles devoted to fisheries and environmental management. 

 David will bring to the role a wealth of leadership and management experience and can also draw on his long association with fisheries and the IFM. He will be devoting two days a week to this role from February the 1st whilst continuing as a Director for the Sustainable Eel Group.
