The Irish National Branch and the Northern Ireland Branch have merged
On 26th September three meetings were held to formally dissolve the Northern Ireland Branch and the Irish National Branch and to form a new branch called the Ireland Branch. The Branches were dissolved under rule 16a of the Institute. (See: branch rules )
A letter was received by the Chairman, signed by 11 members, to form the new branch.
Alan McGurdy was elected as Chairman of the new branch and Gerald Crawford as Secretary.
Both Alan and Gerald are also Council Members of the Institute.
We wish the new branch well and look forward to seeing all our Irish colleagues at the Conference in 2007 which will be held in Westport.
